I wanted to make it as realistic as possible so I built this for The Last of Us resource pack, it changes the items to survival gear and gives the world an awesome look. This only spawns zombies, so no creepers, endermen etc. You start off in a safe house with some basic gear in the first city, I recommend going to the roof first to scope the situation before walking straight out the front door.
There's a lot more content outside the cities as well but you'll just have to find out for yourself, there was too much to fit into screenshots. This map has three fairly large cities, which are great for exploring and finding loot. if you want to download that instead go here:
The original map is still being updated and has support for 1.13+.
